Inconel 600 butt weld fittings (UNS N06600) forged to ASME SB-564 and dimensioned to ASME B16.9. The 14% to 17% chromium gives outstanding resistance to oxidising media and dry heat, while the high nickel base resists caustic solutions and reducing acids.
This page covers the alloy dimension. For the full range of butt weld fitting forms in any nickel alloy, see our nickel alloy butt weld fittings overview.
| Designation | Value |
|---|---|
| UNS number | N06600 |
| Material specification | ASME SB-564 (Nickel Alloy Forgings) |

| Material class | Nickel-chromium-iron |
Note on specifications: SB-564 is the correct ASME Section II specification for forged nickel alloy fittings. SA-182 covers low alloy and stainless steel only and does not include any nickel alloy grades.

Fittings are supplied solution annealed and pickled, with a bright annealed or pickled surface as required. Each fitting carries heat number, grade, standard, size, heat treatment condition and our works mark. Export packing in wooden cases or steel pallets with plastic end caps.
Send the grade, fitting type, nominal size, schedule, quantity and any third-party inspection requirement to our technical sales desk. We will confirm dimensional tolerance, delivery condition and the applicable ASME line item, and quote FOB Shanghai or Ningbo.
Choose 600 for oxidising media, dry heat and caustic service. Choose 625 when chlorides, seawater or sour service dominate, since 625 roughly triples the molybdenum content and gives far more pitting margin.
Inconel 600 is used continuously up to about 1,100°C and intermittently higher. It is one of the most widely specified alloys for heat treatment work because it does not scale significantly and retains strength.
Yes for most service. It has good weldability and does not normally require solution annealing after welding. For high-temperature service where dimensional stability matters, specify the annealed condition.
Yes, as standard, with third-party inspection available on request.
