Dimensional Inspection

  1. Diameter: Online or offline inspection using calipers, laser diameter gauges
  2. Ovality: Measuring maximum and minimum diameters, calculating ovality
  3. Length: Measuring using tape measures

 

Surface Quality Inspection

  1. Visual Inspection: Inspecting surface for cracks, folds, scars, scratches, and other defects
  2. Pickling Inspection: Pickling when necessary to expose surface defects
