Forged bars are high-quality bars processed through forging technology, featuring dense internal structure, excellent mechanical properties, and good ultrasonic testing pass rates. They are widely used in critical load-bearing components in pressure vessel manufacturing, nuclear power equipment, petrochemical industry, heavy machinery, and aerospace industries. The nickel alloy forged bars supplied by Hefei Tailan Metal Co., Ltd. are manufactured from high-quality nickel-based alloy ingots or continuous casting billets through multiple precision processes including heating, forging, heat treatment, inspection, and machining. Featuring dense structure, no internal defects, uniform properties, and large forgeable sizes, they are specifically designed for demanding applications with extremely high requirements for internal quality and mechanical properties.

Forging Process Advantages:

  1. Open Die Forging: Suitable for single piece, small batch, large size bars
  2. Closed Die Forging: Suitable for mass production, complex shape bars
  3. Rotary Forging: Suitable for high precision, slender bars
  4. Upsetting+Drawing: Fully breaking as-cast structure, improving isotropy

Supply Range

Diameter/Thickness (d): 50mm – 800mm (2 inches – 32 inches)

Length (L): 500mm – 8000mm (customized as per customer requirements)

Shape: Round, Square, Flat, Stepped Shaft

Diameter Tolerance: As Forged: +5mm/-0mm; Rough Machined: +2mm/-0mm; Finish Machined: as per drawing

Forging Ratio: ≥3:1 (ensuring fully broken as-cast structure)

Grain Size: ≥4 grade (can be refined to ≥6 grade upon request)

Ultrasonic Testing: 100% inspection, conforming to ASTM A388 standard, inspection drawings available

Solution/Aging Heat Treatment, Performance Optimized

Various heat treatment conditions available according to material and application requirements:

  1. Solution Annealed: Fully restored corrosion resistance, suitable for most corrosive environments
  2. Age Hardened: For precipitation hardening alloys like Inconel 718, achieving highest strength
  3. Annealed: Low hardness, good workability, suitable for subsequent cold processing

Strict Mechanical Property Testing

Tensile Testing: Room temperature/high temperature tensile, verifying yield strength, tensile strength, elongation

Hardness Testing: Ensuring hardness uniformity

Intergranular Corrosion Testing: Verifying corrosion resistance per ASTM A262 standard

Multiple Delivery Conditions Available

As Forged: Black scale surface, most economical choice

Rough Machined: Surface scale removed, convenient for transportation and subsequent processing

Finish Machined: Machined to final dimensions as per drawings, ready to use
