Inconel 718 UNS N07718 butt weld and socket weld fittings. Precipitation-hardened Ni-Cr-Fe alloy, 185 ksi tensile after ageing. Aerospace, API 6A718, EN 10204 3.1.
Inconel 718 (UNS N07718) is a precipitation-hardening nickel-chromium-iron alloy with niobium and titanium additions, supplied in solution-treated plus aged condition to reach tensile strength above 180 ksi. It is the standard answer when a buyer needs aerospace-level strength together with resistance to oxidation, chloride pitting and sour service. Tailan Metal supplies it as butt weld fittings to ASME B16.9 and socket weld fittings to ASME B16.11, machined from SB-637 forging stock.
| Grade | UNS | Strength mechanism | Service position |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inconel 718 | N07718 | Precipitation hardening | High-strength, elevated temperature |
| Inconel 625 | N06625 | Solid solution | General corrosion, cryogenic to high temperature |
| Inconel 600 | N06600 | Solid solution | Heat resistance, caustic, nuclear |
| Hastelloy C-276 | N10276 | Solid solution | Oxidising acids, wet chlorine |
| Incoloy 825 | N08825 | Solid solution | Sulphuric acid, sour gas |
Butt weld elbows 90 and 45 degree, concentric and eccentric reducers, tees, caps and 180 degree bends to ASME B16.9; socket weld elbows, tees, reducers and couplings to ASME B16.11. Sizes DN 15 to DN 300 standard; heavy-wall and machined configurations quoted per drawing. Forgings are supplied in the aged condition specified at order.

| Tensile strength | 185000 psi (1275 MPa) min |
| Yield strength (0.2% offset) | 150000 psi (1034 MPa) min |

The elongation and reduction-of-area values above carry footnote E: they apply to tension specimens machined tangentially from near the centre of large disk forgings over 50 sq.in. (3225.8 sq.mm) in cross-section, or radially from rings 3 in. (76.2 mm) or more in thickness. Other product forms carry different minimums – confirm against the SB-637 table applicable to your section size at order placement.
Aerospace and gas-turbine components, API 6A718 and API 6ACRA wellhead and Christmas-tree equipment, high-pressure sour gas service, rocket and missile hardware, and injection-mould tooling requiring uniform hardness with corrosion resistance.
EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 certification, hardness and tensile testing on the aged condition, PMI, ultrasonic examination, and full heat-treatment certification. AMS 5663 material conformance available on request. Independent third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TUV, Lloyd’s) accepted at mill.
Specify grade, product form (bar, forging or machined fitting), size, quantity, and whether the aged condition with hardness reporting is required. Provide drawings for non-standard parts. We will confirm availability of the required section size and heat-treatment state with a quotation.
